MOVES

 Birmingham’s Kirk Drennan P.C. said Jessie M. Keating has joined the family and matrimonial law practice as an associate.

Keating is licensed to practice in Alabama and Florida. She previously served as an attorney for the Florida Sheriff’s Civil Process Department in Daytona Beach, Fla.

• Douglas Chappell II has joined Professional Service Industries Inc.’s Birmingham operations office as a laboratory supervisor. He is Level II certified in radiography, magnetic particle and liquid penetration inspection.

PROMOTIONS

Birmingham’s Pittman Financial Partners said Kimberly Beydler has been promoted to marketing coordinator and Keith Inman has been promoted to compliance coordinator.

APPOINTMENTS

 The Automobile Dealers Association of Alabama said Scottsboro Ford-Chevrolet dealer Hoyt Harbin has been elected chairman of the organization.

Steve Watts, principal of Town and Country Ford in Bessemer and Town and Country Ford-Lincoln in Pell City, was elected secretary-treasurer. Jim Cannon, of Carl Cannon Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac in Jasper, began a two-year term as past chairman.

Elected to a first term as District 7 director was Donny Crowe of Tuscaloosa Chevrolet. David Belcher of Royal Automotive in Vestavia Hills was reelected as District 6 director.

Bill Stoeffhaas, co-owner of Style Advertising in Birmingham, has been elected to the board at Aldridge Gardens in Hoover.

• Mike Ermert, a partner with Birmingham law firm Hare, Wynn, Newell & Newton, will serve as second vice president of the Alabama Association for Justice in 2011-12. Ermert was previously the secretary for the legal organization.

FURTHERMORE

Birmingham’s Proventix Systems Inc. said three doctors have won the company’s inaugural Lathem Physician Leadership Award in Hand Hygiene. The award was named in honor of Dr. Mickey Lathem of Shelby Baptist Medical Center and physicians who demonstrate a commitment to excellence and leadership in hand hygiene at their facilities.

Winners are Dr. Edmund Wroblewski, chief medical officer at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California; Dr. Robert Libke, infectious disease and epidemiology specialist at Saint Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, Calif.; and Dr. Michael Mohr of Apex Family Medicine in Denver, Colo.

• David B. Hall, a shareholder in the Birmingham office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz PC, was a speaker at the Mississippi Trucking Association’s annual convention in Florida this month. Hall is the leader of the Firm’s Transportation Group.

 Birmingham lawyer John D. Saxon has been named to the Alabama “Super Lawyers” publication for 2011 in the category of employment and labor law, and he included in the list of the Top 50 lawyers in the state.
